Your Support Drives The Gospel with impact & compassion

Merry Christmas to you!
Our next Open Pantry when we share food, fellowship, encouragement  and love is fast approaching on December 6, 2022. Thank you to all who have made WHEAT’s Pantry an amazing success by sharing what you have, praying for us and encouraging others to come receive food! We are in need of 40 -16 ounce jars of jam or jelly and 36 boxes of breakfast cereal in order to pack bags before our next pantry.
For more information about their food pantry or about WHEAT, visit their website at https://wheathelp.org/
This year, Berea Baptist is partnering with Elmont Elementary to provide gifts for families in need. Elmont is a Title 1 school that serves a very diverse population. If you are interested in “adopting” a child to provide them with gifts, please contact Holly Duley and she will pair you with a child – you will receive their age and wish list!

We are collecting new and lightly used winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves to donate to local families and individuals who are without. Donations can be dropped off in the Giving Room. Accepting Donations now through December.
Routinely on some Saturday mornings from 8-11am the Firewood Ministry cuts firewood at the Tinsley Pond (12306 South Anna Dr. Rockville, VA  23146) . We have been blessed to help so many this year with free wood. We need help splitting the wood that is still at the pond. For more info, please contact Pastor John at seniorpastor.berea@gmail.com
Here at Berea Baptist Church, we have a Blessing Box located in the back end of our church parking lot. This is a 24/7 food pantry. We have all kinds of non-perishable items in there along with baby food and toiletries. It has been amazing to see how God has used this. If you know someone in need of food, etc. please let them know about our Blessing Box. This is for everyone! God Bless!
Check out this amazing reading box in the back of the church parking lot for all things children’s books. Such an amazing blessing and gift for our community!
Thank you so much for your continued support and care for us! We cannot be out here and do our work without you. Please tell the administrative assistant and pastors of the church we are grateful for their support and kindness towards us as well. We praise God for your church! And yes these weekly emails are a great way to keep us in the hearts and minds of members there.
Please communicate to the church we would love them to pray about two college Christmas parties we are putting on, coming up in the next three days. We have invited college students (both from Buddhist and Muslim background) from our local University to meet at our ministry center to have a Christmas party that will share the entire Christmas story and will give them an opportunity to learn about the true meaning of Christmas for the first time. Please pray that their hearts would be open to continually learning about the good news in the coming weeks.
Also, a week from now three men will be baptized inside the local prison that we have started a church in. I am working with our Thai pastor and have had opportunities to go in and preach at this meeting. It’s quite encouraging to see their positive response! Thank you for your continued prayers.
God bless you! -Jeremy
What is the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering?
Lottie Moon was sent as a Southern Baptist missionary to China from 1873 to 1912. She saw firsthand the world’s greatest problem – LOSTNESS. Meeting so many people who had never heard the gospel compelled her to write letters to American churches describing the need for a greater missionary presence. She pleaded for increased prayer and financial support to send and sustain more missionaries. This challenge became known as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. 100% of your gifts to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering enables gospel transformation among the unreached.
